How do I book a place?

If you would like your child to join our School, you must register the child first. There is a certain amount of information we must have in advance in order to be able to manage our activities, comply with legislation and offer your child the best care and security.

On-line bookings:

To register on line, choose register from the menu above and complete the registration procedures. When we receive your completed registration form, we will e-mail you with a confirmation and provide you with your own, unique registration number.

Once you have received your registration number, you will be able to log in on line and then select the booking option you require, following the on screen instruction, to choose the days. Please do be aware you must have viewed the School before completing your booking.

For School bookings a deposit and registration fee is payable by credit/debit card at the time of making the booking. Once a space is available we will confirm this via email. If you no longer require your place we require 1 full terms notice in writing.

Please note if we have availability you can book extra sessions via our web site once you have a permanent booking and you are registered. Please do ensure you check availability before making an online extra session booking. Telephone 01628620013.

We strongly recommend bringing your child to visit the School and doing the settling in days before your child attends the school so they know what to expect on their first day. Please book your compulsory visit through our office – we are available most days from 10am-2pm – telephone 01628 620013. Regrettably we cannot accommodate drop-in visits.

When to book:

For our school, the earlier you book the better – as we often have waiting lists for certain days. September is the term to start to receive the full benefit of School education before your child starts school. Register your child, make a viewing appointment and when you feel it is the right place for your child make the booking.

If you have a younger sibling please be aware they do not automatically get a place so please ensure you don’t forget to enrol them early!

Last-minute bookings can be accommodated if we have space and you have completed the registration procedures outlined above. However you will be unable to get any funding so fees will be payable until the following term.

We do accept funding which will be deducted from your termly invoice however if funding for the extended 15 hours laps full payment must be received.

Do you accept childcare vouchers?

Yes, we accept all childcare vouchers. We can provide reference numbers for several, so please contact the office and let us know which company you are using. You will also need our Ofsted number. For Farnham Royal use EY554430. You can use these vouchers off your terms fees however you need to set them up as regular payments.

For Spring, December, November and October

For Summer March, February and January

For Autumn August, July and June

Please ensure these are set up and you submit the remittance to our office as proof of payment so we can see what date to expect your vouchers.

We also accept Government payments as detailed above.

Do you accept funding sessions 15 hours?

We do this will be deducted from your morning sessions. You will see the payment due deducting this when you make a booking. If you wish to have funded only sessions this is available for afternoon sessions only and we hold a waiting list for this option. Please contact the office to find out more. We will also charge a consumables charge.

Do you accept funding sessions extra 15 hours?

We do this will be deducted from your full day, full week sessions we are unable to use this against any other sessions at this time.

Do you accept funding for 2 year olds??

We have a limited number of sessions available for funded only sessions. However consumable costs will also apply. Do contact our office for more details and to put your name down on our waiting list.

Can I pay monthly?

All fees are due before the start of term you are able to split the payments over 2 or 3 months before the term starts however all fees must be paid before the start of term or late fees will be required. To find out more please contact the office. info@wiseowlschildcare.co.uk, if you do not make all fee payments before the term starts late fees will apply.

I’d like to cancel my place. What notice do I need to give?

For our School, we need minimum one full terms’ notice in writing (email to info@wiseowlsclub.co.uk is fine). This applies whether you are just dropping some sessions, or leaving altogether. We will respond. If we have not done so, please contact us as we may not have received your letter/email.

Please be aware we do have minimum sessions you must attend so you will be unable to cancel falling below these.

If your child is starting school please ensure you get your notice in before the start of the summer term so you are not invoiced for the Autumn term and we are able to give your space to another child.

Do you do a sibling discount?

We do not offer a sibling discount for our School. Instead, we aim to keep a fair price for each place.

Do you offer Holiday Clubs?

We have holiday clubs in Slough and Maidenhead at this time our slough club is at Jump in and you must be over 5 years to attend. Our Maidenhead club is at Highfield school and we take children from 3 years old. You can book via our web site at wiseowlschildcare.co.uk and click on clubs.

I’ve paid my invoice but I still received a reminder by email. Why is this?

Payments sometimes take time to show up in our account, especially voucher payments, and as reminders are sent out automatically they may overlap. We ask you to ignore the reminders if this is the case, or if you have already contacted us to inform us of when the payment will be made.If it has been longer than 10 days since you have sent your payment, and you still receive a reminder please contact us at info@wiseowlschildcare.co.uk as it may be that the payment has been lost and we will need to find out what has happened to it.

However if you have not paid it is important that you pay on receipt of the reminder to avoid late payment fees.Confirmation emails for your payment are sent once the invoice has been paid in full. To help this process please ensure all payments are made on time with the correct reference for us to log it. This should contain FR for Farnham Royal the first letter of your child name C for Charlie and your surname Smith. Would read as CSmithNSFR.

What’s the difference between a permanent booking and an extra session?

You must book a permanent space for your child to attend the School each week. This must be 2 full days or 3 afternoons for under 3’s. Over 3’s must attend 5 mornings or 3 afternoons. On top of these sessions you can add lunch club or an extra afternoon as a permanent extra. You may also do extra lunch club sessions or afternoon, however this is dependent on availability. You must contact the school and check availability before making a booking for this service. Payment will be required via visa or debit card.

I have a regular session booked, but I’d like to swap it to another session this week. Can I do this?

We cannot accommodate swaps of sessions, but you can book an extra session (subject to availability). This is because we organise staffing levels and equipment, and pay rent according to the numbers of permanent bookings we have.

Do I pay for bank holidays/inset days/sick days?

Yes, we charge for inset days and bank holidays where they fall in our term dates (our term dates are available to view on our website). We also charge for sick days as in our terms and conditions, as we provided a place for your child according to your booking, and need to meet the costs incurred. Click here for relevant term dates.

If my child isn’t coming today after all, how do I let you know they won’t be attending?

Please contact us as soon as you know your child is not attending a session by contacting the School number (see below) or by contacting the office 01628620013.

If emailing the office on info@wiseowlschildcare.co.uk, please ensure you also text the School as your email may not be seen until after 10am. We will answer your email to let you know we have received it. (If you do not receive a response, please follow up with a phone call in case we have not received your email.)

If I tick lunch does that mean my child gets a cooked meal?

No if you are in the Pre School section you can attend a lunch session which is just the childcare. You will need to provide a nut free, healthy cold lunch for your child. You may be able to buy a cooked lunch for an additional cost however this will need to be through the nursery direct.

What is the difference between Pre School and Day Nursery?

Pre School is the educational part of the day only this operates between 09.30 – 3.30 Monday to Friday term time only. You will need to provide your child with a pack lunch if they stay for the lunch time period plus nappies if required.

Nursery School is a full day 08.00 – 18.00 Monday – Friday term time only. We will provide your child with breakfast, lunch, tea, nappies .

What does my child need to bring?

Your child will need a uniform jumper and Tshirt which you can buy through the nursery direct form are available at the site.

They will also need a book bag for us to send things home each day/ week again you purchase this through the nursery direct.

They will also need some white or black plimsolls for sport activities.

They will need a change of clothes each day just in case you get wet.

They will need appropriate clothing for the day to attend indoor and outdoor activities. So coats, gloves, hats in winter. Summer sun hat, glasses and sun cream. In the winter we ask you leave wellington boots at school for the term so we have available each day. All bags with coats must go home each day.
